Tortilla Wrapped Bratwurst

I picked up a package of bratwurst while shopping and wasn’t sure what I wanted do with it. My kids are big fans of wraps, so I thought why not wrap a brat with some cheese in a tortilla?! These were big hit and they didn’t even complain about the spice in the beer (don’t worry the alcohol all cooked off). You could totally change it up too and use Italian sausage with sautéed peppers and onions with mozzarella. The possibilities are endless!

Even better, it took no time at all to make these – perfect for a busy weeknight!

Tortilla Wrapped Bratwurst | Join Us, Pull up a Chair

1 package of bratwurst
1 bottle of beer (I used Victory Brewing HopDevil IPA)
whole wheat tortillas
sliced sharp cheddar cheese

In a saucepan, broil the bratwurst in the beer until fully cooked. The beer will reduce down and create a thicker sauce. Once cooked, transfer to a grill or skillet to crisp the skin. On a warmed tortilla, place 2 slices of cheese. Add the bratwurst and wrap the tortilla. Place the wrapped bratwurst in a skillet and brown all sides of the tortilla. Allow to cool slightly before cutting in half. Serve with honey mustard or your favorite mustard.
