Sprout VoxBox Review

About 6 months ago, I joined Influenster to stay connected on the latest products and trends, but one of the perks of being part of the community is receiving free products to sample. I thought it would be a great addition to the blog to review products and share what I loved, like or didn’t like about them. A product recommendation from a friend is one of the best ways of advertising and as a marketer myself, I love being to share my thoughts on products.

I was excited to receive a notification that I qualified for the Sprout VoxBox and after a few days it arrived on my front porch. This box included a variety of products to try out!

Orgain Organic Protein Powder in Vanilla Bean – I’m not a huge fan of protein powders, but this was pretty good. The vanilla flavor was perfect. I made it with frozen strawberries and almond milk. It kept me full all morning until lunch. It is also sold in chocolate.

Ecos Hypoallergenic Laundry Detergent – I really liked this sample. It had a light magnolia and lily scent and wasn’t overpowering. The best part is has a built-in fabric softener! It’s available in other scents including lavender, honeydew, lemongrass and more.

Hair Food Moisture Collection – I’ve been struggling finding a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair. It’s super fine and everything seems to weight it down lately, so I was excited to give this a try. It smelled great and didn’t leave my hair greasy or feeling weighed down. I would definitely give it a try!

Eatsmart Three Bean Tortilla Chips – I got the Spicy Black Bean variety and it’s so good! I like the variety of beans that it’s made with and tasted great with roasted red pepper hummus. A serving has 14 grams of whole grains, they’re gluten-free and made with non-GMO ingredients.

Curate Bars Dark and Tempting – This was probably my favorite sample of the entire box. I loved the mixture of flavors of this bar from the balsamic vinegar, fig and hazelnut. They’re a little higher in calorie snack than I like, but they are so tasty. I’ve already purchased a few of the other flavors to try out and they haven’t disappointed!

Nutrish Dish Dog Food

Meet our dog Piper.  She’s a rambunctious girl that loves running laps around our backyard, snuggling and barking at every delivery person that stops at our house {always while I’m on a conference call}. We waited several years to add a dog to our family after our last dog went to doggy heaven, and we finally decided it was time a little over a year ago. We rescued her from a local shelter as a puppy and she’s been a great addition to our family.

HelloFresh Veggie Box Review

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.

I recently received a discount code to try out HelloFresh and was excited to try out this service. HelloFresh “delivers delicious and healthy recipes with all the pre-measured ingredients to your door each week.” There are two type of boxes to choose – Classic Box and Veggie Box. The Classic Box includes meat and is a little more expensive than just the Veggie Box. I opted for the Veggie Box, because I’m always looking for vegetarian entrees and other side dishes. After you select the type of box, you can select boxes for either 2 or 4 people. I went with the 3 meals, 2 people box. It was the perfect size for my husband with enough leftover for the kids to nibble at.

When I received my first box, I was pleasantly surprised. It came packaged with frozen water bottles to keep the produce cool, my second box came with reusable freezer bags. Each meal is packaged together in a bag and includes everything you need! My one meal came with the cutest little bottle of balsamic vinegar.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Spicy Chickpeas | Join Us, Pull up a Chair

My box came with these three recipes:

Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Spiced Chickpeas – We loved this! The hummus dressing was perfect and I loved the crunch of the chickpeas. It was unique and something I would never had put together before.

Honey-Roasted Squash with Warm Mushroom & Quinoa Salad – This was another winner. I made it as a side dish for grilled chicken breasts. You can’t go wrong with roasted squash! I really enjoyed the mushroom and quinoa salad, it was a new way for me to use quinoa. My husband had it as leftovers the next day and he really enjoyed it as a cold salad.

Eggplant & Sun-dried Tomato Pasta – I’m not a fan of eggplant, so I skipped this meal, but made it for the rest of the family. They liked it but wasn’t in love with it like the other two dishes.

Overall, I was really pleased with the boxes I purchased and will use the service occasionally. Now that summer is almost here, I’ll be using the recipe library for inspiration for new meals to make!
