Pigs in a blanket are a favorite party food, but when you add a little “bit of everything”, you get a twist!
I whipped up a batch of these to enjoy while we watched football on Sunday. They made for a great snack and were delicious – even my son who doesn’t like hot dogs, devoured these!
8 oz container crescent rolls
14 oz package mini cocktail franks
1 egg
1 Tbsp dried minced onion
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp white sesame seeds
1/2 tsp black sesame seeds
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Unroll the crescent rolls into one sheet. Cut into 18 slices and then cut in half to make short strips. Wrap each cocktail frank with a slice of dough. Place seam side down on the baking sheet. Continue to all franks are wrapped.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg. In a separate bowl, combine the minced onion, poppy and sesame seeds. Brush the egg over the wrapped franks and sprinkle with the seasoning. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately with spicy brown mustard.
