Pressure Cooker Ribs

We’re big fans of ribs, but they always take so long on the grill. I think the last time we attempted to make them, we ran out of propane – just our luck! When I saw how you could make ribs using a pressure cooker in 30 minutes, I knew I had to give it a try. They were really good and the best part is they didn’t take all day to make. I’ll definitely be making them again and again this summer!

Dry rub
1 Tbsp cumin
1 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp black pepper

1 rack baby back ribs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

In a small bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients. If you have a large set of ribs, cut them into smaller pieces to fit into your pressure cooker. Season both sides of the ribs.

In your pressure cooker, place a 1/2 cup of water, then place the ribs into the pressure cooker. Close and lock the lid. Cook on high pressure for 25 to 30 minutes. Let the pressure naturally release before opening the pressure cooker. Transfer to a warmed grill. Brush with barbecue sauce and grill for 5 minutes.
