I’m always looking for a new recipe to bring to parties and events; this may be my new favorite recipe! Caramelizing the onions brings onion dip to a completely different level! There is much more of a richness of onion flavor. I definitely recommend making it a day before you plan to serve it. This give is enough time for all the flavors to really develop. It goes perfectly with chips or veggies! It would be great over a baked potato too!
Are you looking for a meal to impress your friends or in-laws? This is it and trust me, it’s simple to make. I loved the flavor of the sauce – it’s creamy, a little tangy and the caramelized onions were the best part. I could have eaten the sauce like it was soup…it was that good! I used chicken tenders and serve them over mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus.
I’ve taken a few days off from blogging to spend some much-needed time with my family. Both my husband and I have been going non-stop lately and this break was needed! I haven’t done much cooking either, so I’ll be making up with it over the next couple of weeks with lots of new recipes.
I made this pizza a couple of weeks ago and it was a hit….despite it being a little more cooked than I would have preferred. I had to leave it in the oven for my husband to watch while I ran to an appointment and he left it in a little too long. It was still delicious! I love the flavors of the caramelized onion, bacon and spinach…all on a crispy crust.
